They reached the hotel parking lot, and D.J. came out of her trance. "Catch, McCall." |

He brought his hand up and caught the car keys she flipped toward him just before they sailed past his head. |

"Not bad. Maybe you aren't so helpless after all. Bring the car up to the front. I'll throw our things into the suitcases, make a call, and be right out." |

Without waiting for his reply, D.J. turned and disappeared into the hotel. |
